Reduced Fuel Costs

Using LPG in cars will not only save you money, but has many other benefits, but why is LPG so much cheaper?

Less Fuel Duty
Unlike "normal" petrol, the fuel duty on LPG has been frozen, but more importantly it will remain frozen for at least the next three years. This means LPG will remain far cheaper than other forms of fuel.

What does this mean in real terms? Well, for example, if you run a 1.8 - 2.0 litre unleaded petrol car doing 28 mpg and the cost of unleaded fuel is 82p per litre

Research conducted by Smits over the last 30 years has shown that running a car on LPG increases the life of the engine by at least 30%.
   
Reduced Servicing Costs  
As the number of additives in LPG are less than normal fuels, the life of spark plugs and engine oil is doubled, yes doubled! This reduces your servicing costs.
